Aiming for the society that supports equal participation of people with disabilities.

KODAF will do our best to make society that respects disabilities as a difference not discrimination due to disabilities by continuously indicating stance and voice of people with disabilities to public through an extensive solidarity and collaboration with the disabled organizations and human rights activists.

Our Mission

▶ Represent & assemble the voice of people with disabilities

KODAF is the United Community of 27 organizations of people with disabilities specified by types and regions. Based on strengthening mutual ties and collaboration among members, KODAF will appeal formed the public opinions by gathering desires from people with disabilities to public and government through the extensive exchange and solidarity with other disability communities.

▶ Collaborate on guiding the alternative policy for the rights of people with disabilities.

KODAF is a corporation certified by the Korean ministry of health and welfare. KODAF plays role as a messenger of spreading system and policy related disabilities from the related offices at which national and local government including the ministry of Health and welfare, at the same time, carries out the role faithfully as a critical companion of the government by evaluating the disabled welfare policies and proposing an alternative

▶ Lead the campaign for the human rights based on united solidarity of people with disabilities.

Nowadays, the perception of the disabled changes the view from the level of welfare to the matter of human rights guaranteed by society. Through the activity of assuring basic human rights for the people with disabilities such as the right to labor, socialization, and education, KODAF will implement outright community participation and feasible equality.

▶ Sharing and proliferating the information on the policies of disability related laws with other organizations in the world.

With UNCRPD, Asian pacific people with disabilities 10-year plan, the issue of the field in people with disabilities and a range of the disabled rights activities become globalization. Korea solidifies the statue(position) as the kingpin of international act by hosting 2012 UNESCAP, APDF, and World RI meeting. KODAF shares outcomes of the disabled domestic rights activities by supporting the international exchange of the organizations for the people with disabilities and the disabled rights activists. Moreover, KODAF is going to hand down the experiences by assimilating advanced welfare policies of people with disabilities.
